Privacy policy
Last updated October 28, 2026
We collect what it takes to run groups and events, and nothing more. meet.space has no ads and no tracking or analytics. We don't sell your data.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and name. If you add them, also your job title, phone number, city and photo.
- RSVPs: the email address, and the name if you give one. This applies even when you RSVP without an account.
- What you post: groups, events, discussions, comments, files and photos.
- Your groups and settings: the groups you join or follow, and which emails you want.
- Logging in with Google: Google tells us your email address and name. We don't see your Google password or anything else in your Google account.
- Your logins: the type of browser and device, and when each login was last used. Your profile lists these so you can log out of any of them.
- Your approximate location: we guess your city from your IP address to suggest nearby groups. We only save a city if you choose one, or confirm the one we guessed when you sign up.
- IP addresses: we use them to limit how many emails can be sent from one place, and delete them within a day. Our server logs also record them for a short time.
Who sees what
- Anyone can see public groups' pages, events and discussions. That includes your name, photo and job title next to your posts. Events show how many people are going, along with a few of their photos or initials.
- Group members can also see the group's files.
- Organizers of a group you belong to can see:
- your name, city, job title and when you joined
- your RSVPs and posts in that group
- whether you get that group's emails
- your email address, when they ask for it (we keep a record of each time)
Apart from organizers, your email address isn't shown to anyone.
Emails
We email you:
- login links
- RSVP confirmations and reminders
- new events from your groups
- a weekly summary
- messages from organizers
Apart from login links and RSVP emails, you can turn each of these off in your profile, on the group's page, or with the link at the bottom of the email. If your address bounces, or you mark our email as spam, we stop sending to it.
Cookies
We use one cookie, to keep you logged in, for up to 30 days after your last visit. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Services we use
- Amazon Web Services runs our servers, database, file storage and email delivery, in the United States.
- Google Fonts serves our fonts, so your browser asks Google for them, and Google sees your IP address when it does.
- Google sign-in, if you choose "Continue with Google". Google then knows you logged in to meet.space.
The share buttons are plain links: nothing loads from Facebook, LinkedIn or the others unless you click one.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and posts until you delete them, or ask us to. A few things expire sooner:
- Logins end after 30 days without a visit.
- Login links expire after a short time.
- Deleted files can be recovered for 30 days, then they're gone.
- Backups of the database are kept for 30 days.
Your choices
Your profile is where you change your details, choose which emails you get, and log out of your other devices. You can leave a group at any time.
Email hello@meetspace.pro if you'd like:
- a copy of your data
- something corrected
- your account deleted
We'll do it within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your profile, memberships and RSVPs, and either removes your posts or takes your name off them.
meet.space isn't meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
When we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date. If a change matters, we'll also email you.
